Delhi Capitals won the bidding war as they acquired the services of Australia’s Annabel Sutherland, who has a base price of Rs 40 lakh, for a whopping sum of Rs 2 crore in the 2024 WPL Auction in Mumbai on Saturday.

Uncapped India batter Vrinda Dinesh sold to UP Warriorz for a whopping sum of Rs 1.3 crore, which is 13 times her base price of Rs 10 lakh.

Gujarat Giants spent a staggering Rs 2 crore for uncapped India bowler Kashvee Gautam - 20 times her base price of Rs 10 lakh. 

Phoebe Litchfield was the first player to go under the hammer in WPL Auction 2024.

Two teams, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz, had a bidding war for Australian all-rounder Phoebe Litchfield. Though she had a base price of Rs 30 lakh, Gujarat ultimately won the bidding and secured her services for a whopping Rs 1 crore!
