Bangladesh beat New Zealand by 5 wicket

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl in the first Twenty20 international against New Zealand at McLean Park.  

Mitchell Santner leads the New Zealand team in the absence of Kane Williamson who is resting. 

Tim Southee returns to the New Zealand line-up after missing the recent one-day international series against Bangladesh which New Zealand won 2-1. 

Rony Talukdar comes into the Bangladesh team after also missing the one-dayers. 

The match is the start of both team's preparations for next year's T20 World Cup in the United States and West Indies. 

Mahedi Hasan is the Player of the Match for his all-round brilliance where he took 2 for 14 from his four overs and played a unbeaten cameo of 19 runs from 16 balls
