WPL Auction 2024 Live Updates: 165 players to go under the hammer

A total of 165 players from five franchises — Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore — will go under the hammer.

Each WPL team can have a maximum squad of 18 players, and there are 30 slots, including nine for overseas players, up for grabs.

The auction, inexplicably, will be held on the same day as the second T20I between India and England at the Wankhede Stadium .

Leading 1-0 in a three-match series, England will take on India just a few hours after the auction begins for the five WPL franchises.

Out of 165 players, 104 are Indians and 61 are overseas cricketers of which 15 are from associate nations.

A maximum of 30 slots are available with the five teams, with 9 spots for overseas players.
